HOW TO PREPARE

​

1) Gather Your Information
Before registration, have the contestant’s name, age, date of birth, T-shirt size, skill level, school name, coach contact information, and selected payment package ready.

​

2) Have Your Bio Written
Contestants should prepare a short bio of 50 words or less that includes their school/studio, coaches or mentors, how long they have trained in aerial arts, and their hobbies.

​

3) Have a Headshot Ready
Prepare a close-up headshot in JPEG format, preferably in color. WCAAF specifies 150–300 dpi and at least 2” × 2”. Action photos are not accepted.

Complete Required Waivers

4) All competitors must complete the General Waiver and Media Release forms. Competitors under 18 require the minor forms completed by a parent or guardian.

5) Prepare Your Competition Music
Music must be submitted as an MP3 and should be clean and free of explicit language. The current WCAAF site lists October 15 as the music submission deadline. 

​

6) Review Your Routine Requirements
WCAAF has specific requirements for routine length, skill level, vertical space, safety, costumes, and aerial content. Competitors should review these requirements with their PPAC coach before the festival.

7) Competitors should be at the facility 90 minutes before their designated performance time.

​

8) Rehearsal spots must be reserved (details on the time/day/cost TBA - early Nov)

 

9) Your PPAC coach will be present to provide the apparatus to the event rigger (Lyra, Silks, and hardware) The PPAC will be responsible for getting all equipment approved. A mat is required during rehearsals and performances and is provided by WCAAF.

Students are expected to provide their own costume that are in compliance with the guidelines and rules of the competition.
